Key Mandate Deliverables & Objectives
Under the enabling statutory powers of the National Automotive Design and Development Council Act (Act No. 6 of 2014), the Council executes the following strategic mandates:
Automotive Components Test Centre, Enugu: Testing auto parts, suspension systems, shock absorbers, automotive glass, and rubber compliance.
Automotive Emission Test Centre, Lagos: Testing vehicles for compliance to global exhaust emission standards (Euro IV / Euro V) using computerized chassis dynamometers.
Automotive Materials & Vehicle Evaluation Test Centre, Zaria: ISO 17025 accredited laboratory conducting crash safety simulation, vehicle durability evaluation, and metal/composite tensile strength analysis.
