Key Mandate Deliverables & Objectives
Under the enabling statutory powers of the National Automotive Design and Development Council Act (Act No. 6 of 2014), the Council executes the following strategic mandates:
Design and prototyping of electric vehicle (EV) platforms and commercial transit buses suited for Nigerian road terrain.
Development of 100% off-grid solar-powered high-speed EV charging stations in Nigerian universities (UNILAG, UNN, UDUS) and council headquarters.
Collaborative technology transfer programs with Nigerian tertiary institutions, research bodies, and polytechnics.
Research on lithium battery life cycle telemetry monitoring, thermal management, and end-of-life battery recycling protocols.
