Empowering indigenous spare parts manufacturers, foundries, and raw material processors through dedicated financing and supplier linkages.
Key Mandate Deliverables & Objectives
Under the enabling statutory powers of the National Automotive Design and Development Council Act (Act No. 6 of 2014), the Council executes the following strategic mandates:
Establishing dedicated financing mechanisms and low-interest credit lines for indigenous spare parts and component manufacturers.
Promoting local backward integration for brake pads, tires, automotive glass, exhaust systems, rubber seals, leaf springs, and plastic injection moldings.
Linking accredited vehicle assembly plants directly with certified Nigerian auto component foundries.
Assisting component manufacturers to achieve ISO 9001 and IATF 16949 international automotive quality certifications.
