Key Mandate Deliverables & Objectives
Under the enabling statutory powers of the National Automotive Design and Development Council Act (Act No. 6 of 2014), the Council executes the following strategic mandates:
Organizing national automotive summits, stakeholder roundtables, and industrial exhibitions to promote investment in local assembly.
Engaging government ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs) to enforce mandatory local procurement of Made-in-Nigeria vehicles.
Sensitization and advocacy campaigns educating vehicle owners, mechanics, and transport unions on road safety, clean mobility, and vehicle maintenance.
Building international OEM partnerships and automotive trade alliances across the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
