Developing state-of-the-art Mechatronics Training Centers and Automotive Industrial Parks to build technical capacity nationwide.
Key Mandate Deliverables & Objectives
Under the enabling statutory powers of the National Automotive Design and Development Council Act (Act No. 6 of 2014), the Council executes the following strategic mandates:
Establishment of 6 Geopolitical Zonal Mechatronics Training Centers equipped with computer-aided diagnostic machinery.
Nationwide Mechatronics Train-the-Trainer programmes upgrading traditional auto-mechanics to modern computerized automotive electronic technicians.
Development of specialized Automotive Industrial Parks in Nnewi, Kaduna, and Oshogbo to support automotive supply clusters.
Training thousands of Nigerian youth in electric vehicle high-voltage safety, computerized diagnostics, and automated transmission repair.
